Study Visit to Nagarjuna Sagar

    An excursion to Nagarjuna Sagar was arranged by ni-msme on 31 Aug 13 to the participants of three international programmes (Phase – I) as an educational cum sightseeing trip as one of the study visit to get familiarity with the art, culture and heritage and teachings of Gautama Buddha through the contemporary relics and inscriptions displayed in the archaeological museum located at Nagarjuna Konda, wherein almost all the remnants were from 2 - 6 century A.D. The participants were thrilled by going through the early phases of art and architecture affiliated with Budhist faiths including the development of human civilization in the region from Stone Age to the Megalithic period through excavated artifacts and adequate illustrations. Later, the group also visited Ethipothala water falls and enjoyed the scenic beauty.
